My Father used to let me sit on his lap whilst driving his successive Jag XJ12s up and down the M4 when I was a young lad and Ive been a Jag fan ever since, although I've never actually managed to own one of my own yet. I haven't had a sparkling car owning history of my own...Started off with dodgy old Escorts in really bad colours, then a Metro, an AX (lighter than an empty coke can), a Punto Mk1, a Rover 216 Coupe (which broke, frequently), a gorgeous 1972 Beetle 1303 (which I will always love), another Punto Mk1 (my first new car), then a big jump to a BMW 5 Series before the kids started arriving, then a Laguna Mk1 (excellent car, even after a BMW), a new Punto Mk 2, a new Espace Mk4 in black (looked like a space age hearse!) whilst we also had a new Landie Freelander (pile of c**p), a ridiculous 1989 Merc 300E in beige (seemed like a good idea at the time, gave it to my mum, still going now) then a Saab 9-5 (which broke), a new Grande Punto Sporting and back to a new Espace. There may have been another Escort in there that I'm too ashamed to even mention. I like to change my cars as often as I can :-) I now have a Chevrolet Captiva LTX 7 Seater (so shoot me) which replaced the Espace and I'd like to get something a bit more exciting, something for the weekend...
