Our spy photographers have snapped a prototype of the next-generation Jaguar XJ being put through its paces at the Nurburgring.
Although hidden under bodywork from the current car, the test mule’s blistered wheelarches and extended front end give a good indication of the crucial model’s larger external dimensions.

Here's hoping Jaguar have another hit on their hands.

Is it just me or does the prototype remind you of a 70s era Tom Walkinshaw Racing Jaguar XJ6 Coupe? All deep front spoiler, extra low grille and blistered wheelarches.

It's not actually prototype, IMSA. It's a Test Mule, that utilises the current body panels with the new underpinnings.

Though my pedantics asides, I agree, it does look like the Racing XJ6 Coupe......didn't 'John Steed' from the New Avengers of the 70's drive a version of one?
