After the unwavering praise heaped upon the previous generation Five, its successor drew gasps of disappointed disbelief from some quarters and whoops of approval from others. Radical styling splits opinion, while the run-flat tyre option knocks ride comfort. Some feel the advance over the old model is too small. But the M5 is awesome.
