This is the new Subaru Exiga, ahead of its launch on June 17.

You can see from these images that little has changed from the appearance of the Exiga concept and it will still focus on being a driver’s car as much as a people carrier.

Based on the Exiga concept seen first at the Tokyo show last year, the seven-seat crossover shares its platform with the Impreza and will use the company’s 2.0 and 2.5-litre flat-four engines.

There are no official plans to bring the Exiga to Europe, though a spokesperson for Subaru UK said that the company would like to sell the car, provided it is available with the new 2.0-litre diesel engine.
